HABNET Chamber of Commerce honors Eveline Pierre with the 2015
‘Toussaint L’Ouverture Service Award’
HABNET Chamber of Commerce gave the award to Ms. Pierre on April 10, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. at Brooklyn Borough Hall – 209 Joralemon Street Brooklyn, NY 11201, during the 11th Annual Toussaint L’Ouverture Symposium & Small Business Expo.
HABNET Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit organization that promotes economic empowerment and civic engagement primarily in the Haitian-American community as well as in underrepresented communities.
This exposition highlighted recognition of leaders particularly in businesses, who have demonstrated the L’Ouverturian principle of emphasizing the importance of civics and economics as a means to empowerment.
Upon receiving the award, Ms. Pierre said, “As a Haitian American this awards means so much to me as Toussaint Louverture did so much for the Caribbean, The United States and the world and I am truly humbled to receive this prestigious award”.
The Haitian Heritage Museum Team is proud of Ms. Pierre’s accomplishments because she has been a remarkable advocator for the Haitian community.
